Our Clients
Our program is designed for seniors managing chronic health challenges and/or who may have difficulty meeting their own social needs. These challenges prevent them from participating in other community programs.
Most of our clients are from the neighbourhoods of Marpole, Arbutus, Kerrisdale, Dunbar, Shaughnessy, and Oakridge, but we have clients from all around the region.
How Do We Assess Eligibility?
We assess the social, physical / mental and medical needs of each prospective client to determine whether our program is a match for them.
Social |
Are they currently socially isolated? Without our services, would their physical, mental, social or emotional functioning deteriorate? Would their social behaviour diminish others’ enjoyment of the program? |
Physical / Mental |
Do they have the stamina for a typical day’s program? Do they have the capacity to participate in program activities? |
Medical |
Would restorative or therapeutic activities help them achieve an optimal level of functioning? Can their care needs can be met in a group setting? |
